Spatial Design
About
ICON Art Academy’s Online Spatial Design Class introduces students to the creative process of designing and organizing physical spaces. Students explore how space, form, scale, materials, and visual elements work together to create environments that are both functional and visually engaging. Through guided instruction and creative projects, students develop spatial awareness and learn how to communicate their design ideas.
Students will learn:
Fundamentals of spatial and environmental design
Principles of space, scale, proportion, and balance
Sketching and visualizing spatial concepts
Arrangement and organization of spaces
Exploring form, materials, and visual elements
Developing spatial concepts through ideation
Communicating design ideas through drawings and visual presentations
Through hands-on projects, students will explore how spaces can be designed to support function, movement, and visual experience. Students will develop their own concepts while learning to consider both the creative and practical aspects of spatial design.
