Volunteer Opportunities
At Icon Art Academy, we believe that artistic talent is most powerful when it's shared with the world. We encourage our students to take their creativity beyond the studio and engage with their community through volunteering — whether it's leading art workshops, painting murals, or contributing to meaningful local projects. It's a wonderful opportunity to make new connections, grow as an artist and leader, and use your talents to make a real difference. Below are the volunteer opportunities we currently offer for our students.
Korean American Center
This volunteer project in collaboration with Korean American Center. Participating students will create original illustrations that will be included in digital storybooks featuring Korean folk tales and biographies of historical Korean figures (위인전). This project is designed to help students explore Korean cultures through visual storytelling while earning verified community service hours.
Hello World (ESL Book)
This opportunity allows Icon students to take part in a meaningful global volunteer project in partnership with Pathway International and Lialoha Pathway International School in Cambodia. Students will help create an illustrated beginner-level English textbook to support English education for underserved children.
Silverado Hospice
Starting in September 2024, Icon Art Academy partnered with Silverado Hospice as part of an initiative to promote community engagement. Every month, students create craft projects and the projects are distributed to the patients receiving hospice care. This initiative empowers students to use the skills they develop in class to make a positive impact and actively engage with their community through creative service.
